Hi, I'm Kamal Tamang, a licensed mountain guide from Nepal who believes the best journeys are measured in stories, not just summits. Somewhere between muddy boots, endless trails, and one too many cups of mountain tea, guiding became more than my profession — it became my way of helping people experience the mountains with confidence, curiosity, and respect.
My journey has taken me from leading remote Himalayan expeditions to working as an Outdoor Educator in Australia, where I guided students through wilderness journeys, rock climbing, canoeing, cycling, and high ropes while keeping safety at the heart of every adventure. Those experiences taught me that good guiding isn't about walking ahead — it's about staying calm when the weather changes, making thoughtful decisions, and helping people enjoy the journey, one step at a time.

EXPERIENCE
- Led multi-day treks and expeditions across the Indian Himalayas, including Kargil, Warwan Valley, Pin Parvati Pass, Bara Bhangal, Hampta Pass, Saar Pass, and Deo Tibba Base Camp.
- Led high-altitude expeditions on Mount Yunam (6,111 m) and Friendship Peak (5,289 m), with experience in snow travel, glacier terrain, and mountain safety.
- Guided people of all ages through remote landscapes, managing navigation, risk assessments, wilderness first aid, and group safety in challenging conditions.
- Worked with Bikat Adventure as a High-Altitude Trek Leader and The Outdoor Education Group (Australia) as an Outdoor Educator, delivering safe and engaging wilderness experiences.
